Broccoli, chilli and lemon wholewheat pasta
Healthy pasta for 2. Using wholewheat pasta adds fibre without affecting the taste. Broccoli, chilli and lemon make the easiest homemade pasta sauce for a quick dinner

Ingredients
- 150 g wholewheat spaghetti
- 300 g long stem broccoli roughly chopped
- 1 shallot
- large pinch of chilli flakes
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 lemon zested and half juiced
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tbsp creme fraiche (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti, adding the broccoli to the pan for the last 3 minutes, then drain. Meanwhile, heat 1 tsp oil in a large frying pan, and fry the shallot, chilli flakes and garlic gently. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the pan, and mix in the lemon zest, the juice, creme fraiche (optional) and season well. Divide between pasta bowls and serve (perfect as vegetarian dinner or served with ie Cumberland sausages)
